BUILDING YOUR NEW HOME WITH TVC: A Step-by-Step Guide
GETTING STARTED: The Details

Select your neighborhood and/or lot as well as your preferred home design/plan. You may opt for one of our models, or bring us your own plan. We specialize in customizing a plan to suit your goals and preferences so let us know what you have in mind!

Establish pre-approval for the amount you intend to invest, that fits your budget. Obtain this from a mortgage provider; we can make a recommendation if desired. Our sales team is committed to helping you design a home consistent with your financial objectives.

Submit your Lot Reservation of $1,000 for TVC owned or represented lot; or Design Fee (if required) of $1,000 for non-TVC building lot. Understand differences in End Loan versus Construction Loan and timing and financial implications of each.

a. You can start from one of our models and customize it according to your family’s needs OR
b. You can bring us your own sketch plan or bring ideas from a purchased architect’s plan

Plan and create your unique kitchen with the aid of our skilled designers with options for your new home to establish a final contract price. Wellborn Cabinet offers several grades of kitchens, giving you optimum choice in style, durability, and convenience.

KITCHEN DESIGN

Meet with our Kitchen designer here at our Design center to finalize the kitchen layout, discuss cabinet door styles and finishes, countertop options, trim details such as crown molding, and options. (pull out drawers, tilt trays, spice racks, etc.). We offer Wellborn Cabinetry or a Dutchwood custom kitchen.

These are the smaller dollar items like ceiling fans, deadbolts, storm doors, etc. We have compiled this list over the years… so we are asking you all the right questions instead of you moving into your home and saying “if only I had thought of that during the planning”.

CONTRACT SIGNING

Everything comes together: The Plans, Specifications, Kitchen details, Options, and 12 year warranty to create your home. The hard part of the process is over….now you enjoy watching the home being built.

COLOR SELECTIONS

The fun begins…choosing Exterior colors, Kitchen and countertop colors, Paint colors, flooring, lighting, faucets and finishes.

CONSTRUCTION PHASE

a. We immediately apply for building permits and create a job schedule.
b. Meet at the lot and situate the home according to the plan and your liking
c. Meet after framing during electrical rough-in to inspect and place electrical and plumbing fixtures
d. Final walkthrough and settlement.

Settlement & Move-In!
In three months we will return to your home to conduct any necessary warranty repairs. One year after settlement, we will return again to address any final warranty issues. As a new customer, you are formally enrolled in our TVC REWARD$ incentive referral program. Your satisfaction Is of utmost importance to us and we value your referrals. Our program provides gift cards in exchange for opportunities to engage a friend, family member, or colleague in any type of building project.
